Custom Steel Gates and Fencing in Phoenix

Shape designs, builds and installs custom steel gates, fences and screens for homes and commercial projects in Phoenix. We're a two-person shop run by Kyle and Mike. Design, engineering, shop drawings, fabrication and installation all stay in-house, and Kyle builds the work himself.

A gate is a mechanism as much as a wall. We pay close attention to how it moves: pivot and self-closing gates, latches, and hardware that keeps working after years of Phoenix heat. On one gate we machined stainless bearing cups in the shop and used angular contact bearings so the gate swings smoothly and stays aligned. We design the latch and hinge hardware ourselves when off-the-shelf parts won't do the job.

We make our own corten-style weathering steel finish in-house. It gives fence panels, screens and water-feature walls a rich rusted surface that suits desert architecture. We also work in blackened and painted steel, stainless, brass and aluminum, and we combine steel with wood or masonry when a design calls for it.
