Shape is a Phoenix-based architectural fabrication studio. We translate drawings into precise, buildable realities in metal and wood—from early design-assist through final installation. Our work sits at the intersection of mechanical understanding, architectural application, and metallurgy. We work across steel, stainless, brass, copper, aluminum, and complementary woods from oak and ash to walnut. Processes include forging, machining, welding, brazing, cold-rolled forming, all woodworking processes and thoughtful finishing that respects the natural character of the material.

Why early involvement matters Most custom metal and wood elements become expensive problems when they are treated as late add-ons. When we join the conversation at design development (or earlier), we can solve for structure, movement, weather, and detailing while the architecture is still fluid. The result is work that looks intentional and performs as intended.
